Description

Programmatic Thinking - Spring 2023

Scratch Level A and B (Grades 3rd-5th)

  • Level A (Beginning) - 10:00am - 11:25am
  • Level B (Intermediate) - 11:30am - 1:00pm

In this course, we’ll introduce students to the basics of Scratch programming using a project-based method to accommodate a variety of levels and student programming skills.  Scratch is a graphical programming language and easily adapted for students interested in learning programming.  Students will be able to unleash their imaginations as they explore creativity, reason systematically, and work on tasks that ultimately provide a pathway to essential life skills.  Upon completion of the course students will create and share their project with their peers.  No previous experience with Scratch or other languages required.

Special Note:

  • Students will take an assessment test during orientation to determine which level is appropriate
  • Any materials needed will be provided in class
